Chrysoprace Gemstone

Chrysoprace Gemstone is an opalescent apple green colored variety of Chalcedony gemstone with a hardness rating of 7. It is also a balancing stone representing money and prosperity and derives its color from the nickel content. The word Chrysoprase comes from the Greek word ‘chrysos prason’ which means ‘golden leek’. Chrysoprase is used for making jewelry and other ornamental objects and is often mistaken for Imperial jadeite. This stone is the Birthstone associated with the month of May.
